Roberto Unger is one of the most influencial postmodernist intellectuals who have transformed our thinking from structural baskatization to freeing it away from all sorts of false necessities. A very few thinkers of our age is able to denounce the structure in which classical modern philosophy has flourished under the able leadership of masters of order, namely Kant, Hobbes, Locke, and Rousseau. Even master of suspicion like Karl Marx has predicted with delicacy the idea of dialectical materialism, through which the means of production succeed in a certain way. Those who try to escape from these false necessities, either through transcending these structures, or by making piecemeal changes. Those who are advocating to go beyond these structures are rejected as a Utopian, while others who believe in evolutionary changes are reduced to its triviality. It is only the third category of thinkers who make efforts to protect these structures by bringing rationalization into play are called reformist liberals. Unger asks us to go beyond these structures. Though, it appears a difficult task, but at least we could act so that we can hope, and those who fail to hope must act so that they can hope!
